Helping Landlords Make Informed Decisions About Their Homes

We have launched our new Consultancy Framework 2026–2030, giving members access to 146 supply chain partners and professional expertise throughout the lifecycle of their projects.

The framework reflects the different ways our members need consultancy support. It provides access to feasibility and early design advice, architectural and engineering expertise as plans develop, and project management or independent inspection during delivery. Members can appoint an integrated consultancy team to support a wider programme or commission a single specialist service when that is all they need.

The framework also supports specific requirements as they arise. Members can access a stock condition survey to better understand their homes, specialist fire safety advice, a structural engineer to assess a concern or building surveying expertise to inform the next course of action. The framework also provides access to specialist support around Building Safety Act Principal Designer duties and Building Control.

This flexibility is particularly important as landlords respond to changing requirements. Awaab’s Law, for example, places defined timescales around investigating hazards and taking action. When an issue arises, being able to access appropriate professional expertise can help members understand what needs to be done and make an informed decision for the resident and their home.

This framework offers our members genuine choice. This ranges from multidisciplinary consultancies capable of supporting projects from inception through to completion to highly specialist practices. Local and regional suppliers also give members greater choice when knowledge of an area or proximity to their homes is important.

The framework brings together organisations of different sizes and specialisms, with SMEs making up around 94% of the suppliers categorised by organisation size. Together, appointed suppliers provide robust UK wide coverage.

Having the right expertise at the right stage can lead to better investment decisions. Advice during feasibility can shape a project before significant money is committed, while good design and specification can improve long term performance. Appropriate oversight during delivery can then help ensure members get the quality they are investing in.

For residents, that means greater confidence that decisions about their homes are informed by the right professional expertise and that investment is focused on achieving better outcomes.

Members can access these services through an established and compliant procurement route, reducing the time and resource required to appoint consultants.

The Framework is now live and available to members.
