How did you find out about CHIC’s Newbuild Framework?
“As part of our re-entry back into the residential sector we had been undertaking research into various frameworks and their coverage. CHIC’s Newbuild framework was identified as a highly attractive opportunity for Galliford Try given its national coverage, and its links with a huge number of registered providers. We kept close tabs on updates on CHIC’s website and were also alerted to the release of the tender documents via the construction press”
How did you find the application process and the CHIC eSourcing Portal?
“The application process was straightforward, with pre-qualification demonstrating the rigour with which CHIC were reviewing the contracting fraternity as part of their due diligence process. We believe the process was fair and transparent with just the right level of tender requirements to ensure small and medium enterprises were not put off by onerous tendering requirements, whilst also permitting companies to demonstrate their relevant experience and expertise.
CHIC’s eSourcing portal was straightforward and easy to navigate. Responses to technical queries were dealt with in a timely and thorough manner.”
How did you find working with CHIC?
“We feel as though the framework is mutually beneficial. CHIC has shown real interest in some of the projects that we are undertaking and the technologies that we are implementing, particularly in the field of modern methods of construction, reduced carbon and whole life cost solutions. We feel that we have a personal relationship with the CHIC team. They are very responsive and are continually providing advice and suggestions on opportunities and routes to market that we may choose to pursue.”
