Beyond Housing improves 500 homes through CHIC Framework

CHIC’s Healthy Homes Framework has supported Beyond Housing launch a £500,000 programme of energy efficiency improvements to more than 500 homes across North Yorkshire and Tees Valley, following the compliant direct award appointment of 0800 Repair.

Looking to improve the energy efficiency of its housing stock ahead of future Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, Beyond Housing needed a procurement route that was both compliant and efficient. They were able to appoint 0800 Repair quickly via direct award, reducing the time and enabling work to begin sooner.

The programme will deliver a range of energy efficiency measures, including cavity wall and loft insulation, improved ventilation, smart heating controls and low energy lighting. Together, these improvements will enhance the energy performance of more than 500 homes, helping residents reduce energy consumption and lower their energy bills.

Alongside the improvement works, 0800 Repair will also deliver social value by running educational workshops in local schools within the communities where the project is taking place.

The project demonstrates how CHIC’s Healthy Homes Framework enables members to procure specialist contractors quickly and compliantly, allowing them to focus on delivering improvements that have a direct impact on residents and their homes.

It also reflects CHIC’s commitment to supporting members with contracts of every size, providing the same compliant route to market and access to trusted suppliers for everything from smaller, targeted improvement programmes to major capital investment projects.
