Overview
CHIC supported Stonewater in securing a compliant and efficient procurement solution for responsive repairs and general building works across the South East.
Through CHIC’s Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), Stonewater awarded a £1.8 million contract to Westmade following a mini competition process, enabling the continued delivery of high quality maintenance services to residents spread across Reading, Berkshire, Southampton, Portsmouth and Hampshire.
The Requirement
Stonewater required an experienced contractor capable of delivering a wide range of responsive and other maintenance works across both general needs and retirement living properties. The scope of works included window and composite door replacements, roofing repairs, plastering, ventilation installations and electrical works associated with kitchens and general repairs.
In addition to individual trade works, the contract also covered more complex multi trade projects, including flooring replacements requiring plumbing and carpentry services, alongside reactive kitchen and bathroom replacements.
With a varied housing portfolio and a need for responsive service delivery across multiple locations, Stonewater needed a compliant procurement route that offered flexibility and value for money, while ensuring high standards of service delivery for residents.
