SHDF Funding – The Work Starts Now

Congratulations to all who were successful securing SHDF funding. The hard work starts now and for social housing organisations retrofit brings multiple benefits, both to the organisations themselves and to their tenants. These include reduced energy demand; reduced energy costs (alleviating fuel poverty); reduced greenhouse gas emissions; improved comfort for residents; and, most importantly, improved health and wellbeing.

Communities & Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) has developed a suite of Frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) with qualified suppliers providing Domestic Energy Efficiency Retrofit Services and Works who are able to work in partnership with CHIC and its Members to develop energy efficiency solutions to homes across the UK.

The CHIC Decarbonisation and Retrofit solutions provide access to competent suppliers, certified to PAS 2035/PAS 2030 and registered to the national TrustMark scheme, as applicable, across the main activities on a typical retrofit project lifecycle. CHIC solutions sit within the key retrofit lifecycle phases:

CHIC Consultancy DPS
Project preparation – Certified to PAS 2035 & PAS 2038 and covering all the actions required to design and collate the resources and data necessary for a successful project.

CHIC Installations DPS, CHIC Materials DPS, CHIC All Under One Roof DPS and CHIC Multi-Elements Framework
Project delivery – Certified to PAS 2030 for the execution and delivery of the project and physical installation of energy efficiency measures including fabric first and M&E initiatives.

CHIC Audit DPS (to be published June 2023)
Post-retrofit – bedding in the upgrades, performance monitoring and measurment, and long-term maintenance solutions.
