Legal Services Framework Tender Update
The Procurement team is now working on the final stages of the Legal Services framework tender. The framework is set to create savings and efficiencies for members to be able to access a panel of experienced law firms.
The framework is divided into four distinct lots to ensure the right firms can deliver the services our members require:
Lot 1 – Corporate, Finance and Governance offers comprehensive legal advisory services essential for corporate governance and financial management. From banking and finance to employment law and taxation, organisations receive expert counsel across various legal domains, ensuring compliance and effective decision making.
Lot 2 – Housing and Asset Management provides legal support tailored to housing and asset management needs. Services range from housing litigation and general advice to policy drafting and tenant rights protection. Members benefit from expert guidance in managing housing assets effectively, whilst upholding legal standards.
Lot 3 – Development offers specialised legal advisory services for development projects, including public/private partnerships and construction agreements. From site assembly to procurement advice, members receive comprehensive support to navigate regulatory frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.
Lot 4 – Property covers a wide range of legal services for commercial and residential properties. From property acquisitions to lease management and litigation, members receive tailored support across the property lifecycle. Expertise extends to shared ownership schemes, offering solutions for various property related transactions and issues.
With the complexity of legal matters surrounding the housing sector, landlords often struggle to find legal services tailored to their specific needs whilst ensuring these are cost effective. This framework addresses these challenges by offering a panel of legal firms with expert knowledge of the sector. By streamlining procurement and offering a diverse range of skills, the framework aims to empower housing providers to make informed decisions, navigate legal complexities and ultimately drive savings and efficiencies.
“CHIC is delighted to be able to meet market demand through our new framework, supporting our members to access specialised legal services. By partnering with leading law firms in the housing sector, we aim to provide our members with tailored solutions that address their unique legal requirements at a competitive cost.” John Fisher, Chief Executive at CHIC.
