To celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March, we spoke to our female colleagues at CHIC to ask them a bit more about themselves, what their role is and what they enjoy the most about working at CHIC.
Hannah Elliott, Technical Manager
Hello! 👋 I’m Hannah, the Technical Manager at CHIC. I write specifications for works and services and provide technical support and advice to the team and members.
I’ve worked in asset management for 30 years; starting as a Contracts Clerk in a local authority housing provider and most recently as a Head of Assets, Development and Building Safety.
One of the things I really enjoy about working at CHIC is being part of a team where everyone (colleagues, Members, Suppliers) brings their skills and specialist knowledge together to develop and deliver high quality services that improve people’s homes and lives.
Chloe Stead, Member Services Manager
I’m Chloe, Member Services Manager at CHIC. 💫
My role is all about supporting our members, helping them navigate procurement solutions, and ensuring they get the best value from our services.
What I enjoy most about working at CHIC is the collaborative approach – We work closely with members and supply chain partners to create real impact in communities. It’s great to be part of a team that’s passionate about making a difference!
Joanne Heyes, Head of Member Services for the North
Hi, I’m Joanne! I’m responsible for all the day to day enquiries from our Northern Members. Anything from new projects, where they require a compliant route to market, to assistance with a contact which needs some additional support, utilising the CHIC managed service.
No two days are ever the same and supporting our members and always striving to deliver an excellent member journey when using CHIC is what I like most about the role.
It’s a busy role and sometimes a little challenging but having that great relationship with our members makes it all worthwhile!
Mariam Imran, Marketing Officer
Hello, I’m Mariam 😊 I work in the marketing team at CHIC. I look after the website, edit/film videos, contribute to social media posts and help at events.
I love that no day is the same and that I’m out and about meeting suppliers, filming and taking photos! I’ve been here a few months, so I’m excited to see what the next year brings.
Asya Parveen, Procurement Manager
Hi, I’m Asya. I joined CHIC 5 weeks ago and I bring with me 7 years of Public Sector Procurement experience a high-pressured busy procurement role, made easy by the working culture and friendly environment and the collaborative approach of CHIC.
I’m enjoying learning and working within the housing sector, and enjoy that I can see what happens when a framework is launched. It’s nice seeing the behind the scenes of what the start and end process is.
