CHIC’s Fire & Building Safety Framework

CHIC is proud to introduce our new Fire & Building Safety Framework, now available to CHIC members. This framework is designed to address the critical fire safety needs of the sector, offering a flexible, compliant and efficient procurement route for essential fire safety services.

Featuring 100 suppliers ranging from micro and small businesses to medium and large companies, the framework provides procurement options including mini-competition and direct award (subject to an approved business case), allowing members to tailor solutions to their specific requirements.

Mike Ivory, Senior Procurement Manager and project lead for the framework, stated: “It’s been fantastic to see the strong interest in this framework from our members looking to deliver works and from the diverse range of awarded suppliers.

With such a large framework, it’s encouraging to see a broad geographical spread and suppliers capable of addressing niche, localised fire safety requirements across the UK. From micro-businesses and SMEs to Tier 1 contractors and consultants, this framework truly offers a comprehensive solution.”

This framework will help our members navigate increasingly complex fire safety regulations while promoting sustainability, innovation and collaboration across the sector.

Chloe Stead, Member Services Manager, provides a detailed breakdown of the framework’s structure, including the different lots and answers to frequently asked questions.

Chris Brockwell, Head of Member Services for the South, shared: “With experience in fire safety from my time at George Boyd and Permadoor, I understand first hand the necessity of this framework across all aspects of asset management. This framework is a significant step towards ensuring safe homes for UK residents.”
