CHIC has officially launched its Multiple Elements of the Built Environment Framework, providing members with a compliant, flexible and efficient route to procure a wide range of vital property services. Designed to support streamlined procurement across the housing sector, the framework enables CHIC members to commission comprehensive, whole-life building services covering both internal and external aspects of their properties.
This robust framework covers services including demolition, extensions, alterations, new build projects, groundworks, site remediation, foundations, external landscaping and environmental works, communal area upgrades, roofing, building plastics, insulation, windows and doors, electrical systems and rewiring, heating services, and scaffolding. With such a wide scope, members can meet the full lifecycle needs of their housing assets through a single, reliable procurement solution.
The framework is structured into two distinct Lots:
Lot 1 – Multiple Elements
Lot 1 encompasses full lifecycle building services, including installation, replacement, refurbishment, maintenance and repairs of both internal and external building components. This includes works such as property extensions, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, heating and electrical systems, flat and pitched roofing, wall insulation, demolition, and external environmental improvements, along with related components such as fascias, guttering, and canopies.
Lot 2 – Void Works and Responsive Repairs
Lot 2 is dedicated to responsive repairs and void property works for residential properties and their communal areas. It enables CHIC members to maintain high standards of living conditions by facilitating efficient turnaround and maintenance of properties between tenancies and during occupancy.
This framework offers a trusted, comprehensive solution for housing providers seeking to maintain and enhance their assets and to deliver great services for their residents
