Our Members

Formed in 2010 as a not for profit organisation, CHIC has grown from a membership of seven founding members to more than 200 housing associations, local authorities and other members. Together these own and manage over 1.6m social housing homes and other buildings across the UK.


To make use of CHIC’s services, your organisation must be a Contracting Authority as defined in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

To gain access to the variety of compliant frameworks, contracts and DPS’ we have available, you must first become a member of CHIC. It is free to become a member and membership may be withdrawn at any time.

When you have become a member of CHIC, we then need to understand some more about what you require. You will be assigned a CHIC Member Services Manager based upon your location. They will be your first point of contact for any help, big or small.

Once we understand how and where we can help, the best method of appointment then needs to be established. Suppliers can either be appointed through a Mini Competition or Direct Award, depending upon your specific requirements.

Once contracts are established between the contractor or supplier and your organisation, CHIC will continue to provide support and commercial added value, with regular reporting.

CHIC’s income is recovered through small transaction fees related to the value of contracted works and services.
