Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

INTRODUCTION

CHIC Ltd is committed to regulating the business in order to ensure that all of our activities positively affect society as a whole.

This policy aims to guarantee that ARK works ethically, considers human rights as well as the social, economic and environmental impacts of our business activities. We aim to meet and exceed any relevant legislation. If legislation does not exist in a particular area, the company will ensure they carry out best practices anyway.

CLIENTS

We are proud of our client relations, which we have built up over decades of operation. We recognise the positive effects that ‘looking after’ our clients have on our business and the opportunities that this creates for repeat business. That is why on all our customer assignments are overseen by one of our directors.

Due to the amount of repeat business, we welcome the dependence on creating and sustaining these strong relationships.

We commit to sustaining our client relationships by not only producing the highest quality of work, but also recording customer satisfaction levels, as a way to monitor and develop these relationships and improve our services.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Wherever we utilise Contractors, services and goods, we are committed to paying them properly and on time.  Wherever practically possible, we go further and we choose to support other small businesses based near our office locations. Where we are operating in other locations, we commit to supporting the client’s local economy, by utilising their shops, hotels etc.

COMMUNITY & CHARITIES

Our team annually identifies charities for the business to champion and opportunities for colleagues to engage, support and fund raise.

ARK is committed to particularly supporting charities which align with our values and support people to live in a safe and secure home. For example, Shelter UK, & Shelter Wales where we have organised an annual virtual walk to raise funds.

Another example of financial support is linked to our Social Return on Investment work with Black County Talent Match BCTM, where we have donated £500 to support their work in helping young people into employment.

We also have several of our colleagues who sit on a variety of boards, sharing their knowledge skill and expertise on a voluntary basis.

We are members of the Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District and support initiatives and schemes to help improve the local area for the community wherever possible such as litter picking etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

We recognise our responsibility to achieve net zero as a business and we seek to manage our impact on the environment in a responsible and ethical manner. We do this through identifying all significant environmental impacts and putting processes into place to prevent, reduce and mitigate them.
