CHIP’s work in supporting Local Employment Groups (LEGs)
As part of CHIC’s commitment to delivering social value, we are proud to support local organisations that help people overcome barriers to employment and develop the skills and confidence needed to build successful careers.
Since CHIP’s launch, we have supported a range of organisations delivering employment and skills initiatives in different ways, helping individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances. This support has enabled people to gain recognised qualifications and certificates, access short training courses, develop practical and life skills, and overcome some of the challenges that can make securing employment more difficult.
This year, CHIP is delighted to be partnering with Building Heroes, a UK-based charity that supports military service leavers, veterans, their families and bereaved military family members as they transition into new careers within the construction industry.
Building Heroes provides individuals with practical training across a broad range of construction trades, equipping them with valuable skills and helping to connect them with a network of employers. Through this combination of training and employment support, the charity helps individuals make a successful transition into civilian working life and opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities across the construction sector.
CHIP is proud to support Building Heroes by funding training opportunities that will help a minimum of 8 individuals develop the skills they need to pursue rewarding careers in construction.
If you would like to support the charity or find out more about the work they do, please contact CHIP’s Head of Social Value, Emma Macaulay, at [email protected].
